To Live or Not to Live
The following article was written after reading an Article in World Magazine
World Magazine is among the top Christian magazines in the world. On February 17, 2007, they printed an edition in which they spoke about the current Abortion issue. Their article told of a single man, and his contribution towards keeping a generation alive. This man’s name is Austin Ruse, and he is the head of the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institution (C-Fam).
Because of his work, he often butts heads with the pro-abortion factions in America. Some of his adversaries are so contempt towards his work that they refuse to even shake his hand! It is important that America wakes up and realizes who the good guys are, and who the bad guys are.
Mr. Ruse’s adversaries, or those who are for abortion, call themselves ‘pro-choice’. Without intending to offend anyone, I would say that they are right in one thing, there is a choice; choose to abstain from sex, or face the consequences of the most intimate act of human behavior. One of the Pro-Choice’s biggest arguments is that women have the right to not go through with childbirth. My question to you is when did “life and the pursuit of happiness” stop applying to everyone? Why does not an unborn child have the same right to live, breath and have being?
There are only two ways to view life, sacred or not sacred. If you believe in the first, then life should be preserved at all costs (this includes even fighting for it). If the latter is how you perceive things, then ending life does not matter. If we follow this thought to its conclusion, then soon, those who are pushing for abortion will soon be advocating that murder is just another form of abortion, so why not allow this vise too? With the present course of history, it may not be long before this is in fact happening.
