2,900 Calorie French Fries

The Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries contain 2,900 calories per serving – a record almost untouched for the unhealthiest widely available French fries. This fattening side dish packs in 900 more calories than doctors recommend consuming in an entire day before even getting to the main meal.

This raises the inevitable question, where is the limit? Denny’s Smoked Sausage Slam is a serving of pancakes that somehow crams 1,480 calories into its flapjacks. Outback Steakhouse submits another offender in the unhealthy streak – the Chocolate Thunder from Down Under dessert has 1,220 calories in a single serving. The Spotted Dog Sundae contains 760 calories, and its intended for kids. It’s no wonder Outback no longer posts their nutritional information!

I think that it’s about time Outback Steakhouse and other restaurants start caring about their calorie counts - just because they don’t show the customers what’s in their food doesn’t mean they should give us all heart attacks!

Wow! That sounds awesome. I’m thinking I’d like to go down to Outback to try it out, just to see if I could survive it. So...I’ll just fast for 3 days beforehand. Then it would be OK wouldn’t it? The calorie balance would then make it morally balanced too, right? And if I prayed really hard first, and loudly asked Jesus to bless this big ole mess o french fries, so that everybody could hear me, then it would be an opportunity to WITNESS at the same time, and that would make Jesus very happy even though I’m eating 2900 KILO-CALORIES in one meal.

See? If you approach it the right way, eating right and eating righteous ain’t so hard.

Seriously, Outback is not evil, nor should they “start caring” about their calorie counts. They’re job is to provide food people want. It is up to you and me to decide whether we want to put in our own mouths.
