After an abortion: pain free or painful?
Abortion clinics and Planned-Parenthood type abortion hotlines have always tried and tell woman that after having an abortion, they will feel a relief, and have few or no side affects. New studies, hoewever, are proving this wrong. This is the main subject of an article of the April 14th. 2007 eddition of World Magazine. A group of post-abortion woman are cross South Dakota state, trying to get voters to vote to keep the anti-abortion ban in place. These women all tell their stories of depression, drug abuse, and suicide attempts. Though pro-choice supporters try and tell women that there is no after affect, according to these women and new research, there is. A woman who aborts her first baby is four times more likely to abuse drugs then a woman who loses her first baby to a miscarriage.
Many women who have abortions began to feel the affects imediattly. They feel guilt for killing their baby, and begin to doubt their own decisions. This can lead to drinking, substance abuse, and suicide. This is the new direction for the tactics of the pro-life supporters in South Dekota for the election. This may help to influence the tactics of the national anti-abortion campaign. Time will tell.
